Topeka Civic Theatre & Academy Summer Camps. Topeka, Ks. Theatre Camps for youth ages 418. 2006 Summer Academy of the Visual Arts. Topeka, Ks. Now Enrolling! The summer academy offers art classes for middle and high school students. Running Mon., June 5Fri., June 23, high schoolers attend from 8 a.m.noon and middle schoolers attend from 811 a.m. Classes are held at Highland Park High School. High schoolers learn to recognize art elements and design principles, while working on craftsmanship and techniques, and enhancing their portfolios. Middle schoolers explore new media, experiencing work in 2-D and 3-D. Enrollment is first-come, first-served. Cost: $80/high schooler (who can receive .5 credit); $60/middle schooler. Googols Of Fun. Lawrence, Ks. All summer long, Googols will be offering camps that help children understand different cultures from around the worldpast and present. Take a walk down The Great Wall of China, climb the Great Pyramids of Egypt, or go wild in the Australian Outback. Children will participate in various hands-on activities to get a better understanding of customs, celebrations, and history of cultures far different than those in America. G-Force Athletics. Lawrence, Ks. G-Force brings you Flip Flying Fun this summer! G-Force is offering 4-day session day camps and 2-day session overnight camps in June, July, and August.
